Travel by air

A large number of international airlines operate direct flights to Croatia from Europe, including several low cost airlines.

Croatia is well connected by direct flights to a number of European destinations.

Airports

Croatia has three major international airports: Zagreb, Split and Dubrovnik. Other airports include Zadar, Osijek, Pula, Rijeka, Brač and Lošinj. A list of all Croatia’s airports and their contacts details can be found on the Croatian Tourist Board web site.

Flights are very frequent to/from all airports in the high season (June-September) and additional destinations and flight operators are usually introduced. However, outside the high season smaller airports (especially in coastal area) might be closed for traffic.

International connections

The national airline company, Croatia Airlines, is a member of the Star Alliance airlines association and enables passengers to reach worldwide destinations in cooperation with its partners. Croatia Airlines has frequent direct flights to the following European capitals and cities: Amsterdam, Munich, Athens, Barcelona, Brussels, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, London, Paris, Rome, Vienna and Zürich. Aside from Croatia’s national airline company, a large number of international airlines also operate direct flights to Croatia from Europe. There are also several low cost airlines that have recently begun operating flights towards Croatia.

Domestic flights

Croatia Airlines operates direct domestic flights to Brač, Dubrovnik, Split, Osijek Pula and Zadar.
